Our schedule is intentionally designed to support each child and their unique needs. Throughout the day, children are given the time and space to move at a natural pace, without feeling rushed or hurried. We create a balance of consistency and predictability while also allowing for meaningful choice and independence.
Our teachers observe closely, looking for opportunities to connect learning to each child’s interests as they naturally emerge. We value all learning—whether it happens during structured lessons, creative exploration, or moments of curiosity and discovery.
This thoughtful flow of the day supports focus, creativity, movement, and connection—allowing children to engage deeply in learning while honoring their natural rhythms.

Mondays

Club Monday is a weekly highlight focused on creativity, exploration, and hands-on learning. It gives students the opportunity to step outside their regular routine and engage in new, enriching experiences.
Each quarter, students choose four classes from a variety of offerings such as gardening, culinary arts, wood shop, sewing, photography, sports, and animal care. This structure allows them to explore new interests, develop practical skills, and discover their passions.
Led by talented and passionate teachers, Club Monday is designed to be an engaging and memorable part of the week filled with creativity, movement, and meaningful learning.​​​​​​​​​
Parent Involvement
Parents are encouraged to participate in the educational experience of their child. Parents and students are encouraged work together on their math curriculum and read together at home. Parents are invited to share their talents and trades through volunteering to teach special classes or courses of study to the students during afternoon Special Classes time.
Who are the teachers
Head teachers at The Little Schoolhouse are highly trained, experienced and certified teachers who share the same passion for education and desire to advocate for children. Specials teachers have been selected for their areas of expertise and experience.

Field Trips
Field Trips are arranged by parent volunteers and held on Fridays. Homeschooling Families who are not students at The Little Schoolhouse are invited to join us to broaden our community of friends.
Homework Policy
Although the Little Schoolhouse has a no-homework policy, families are encouraged to stay connected with their child’s learning by checking in weekly with their math and language curriculum. We also strongly encourage families to read together regularly, as shared reading supports growth, connection, and a lifelong love of learning.
